A hidden gem with outstanding food and service. I asked my local friends for a place that had something good and gluten free. This unassuming place packed in flavor and service. The bean soup was an explosion of flavor. The chicken fell off the bones, the hummus was outstanding. I love Mediterranean food and have travelled this tasted like I was there. The pieces of art on the wall were painted by the owner and felt like I was looking at museum pieces.

Definitely more spendy than I would typically like to spend for lunch, but I gotta say. It is a pretty solid choice. We got the gyro platter and one of the gyro style wrap. Everything tasted fresh and healthy. The place definitely leaned more towards a mom and pop shop kind of vibe, but that's probably what made it good honestly. Overall, worth visiting.

After a day of walking, me and my daughter stopped. To my surprise it's one of the best gyros. Where we are from we don't have anything like gyros. Stopping was the best decision. We got the gyros and it had so much I ate half took the other home and ate it for dinner. The owner I believed talked to us and was so nice. I recommend it and plan to go back next week.

I highly recommend this place, best Mediterranean food I’ve ever had. Excellent tabouli and hummus, so fresh. Gyro meat was lean and tender. Chicken and shrimp kabobs had so much flavor. The service was outstanding, very nice and appreciative. They gave us free soup to try. The owner’s wife painted all of the artwork and the restaurant was immaculate. Can’t wait to come back to try something else.

Wonderful food, owner was very nice with a big smile. This reminds me of spots I used to go to as a kid. Pricing is decent for what the economy is right now. Food is fresh and well presented. Well done guys I will be back.

This is a must try restaurant if you like Middle Eastern / Mediterranean food! This is a nice, clean, bright, friendly staffed little deli. We ordered the Chicken Kabob and the Gyro Platter with one side each and an order of Hummus to share. For the side my wife went with the house salad and I went with the tabouli. They have weekly specials that make this place worth checking their FB page often. I am going to watch for the cabbage rolls! Order at the counter and the food is delivered to the table. Nothing fancy ...but it is good fresh food. Everything was wonderful!

We loved every bite!!! It reminded us of the old Chicken Char Restaurant (on Peoria) and this owner said his friend used to own Chicken Char and his recipes were very close to his. I can honestly say he was correct, as it brought me back many years to the many times my co-workers and I (from CITGO) would frequent it. Great food, service and attention to detail (here at Char Char)! It’s a must visit restaurant!

Excellent, simple, delicious food with great service! I had the chicken kabobs with bruschetta and my wife had the same with tabouli. Both came with rice and pita and they were delicious. Chicken is lightly marinated and cooked perfectly!
